§ 34-269. Annexation.

Signs located on property annexed into the village shall be addressed as indicated below:
(a)

Annexation agreement . The village council, as part of an annexation agreement, may allow off-premises signs, including billboards and advertising structures, to continue for a specific number of years prior to complying with the requirements of this article.

(b)

No annexation agreement . All signs located on property not included as part of or not subject to an annexation agreement shall comply with the requirements of this article regarding nonconforming signs. Billboard shall be removed or otherwise brought into compliance, no later than five years from the date the village comprehensive plan amendment affecting the property is adopted by the village council.
