§ 6-2. Bird and wildlife sanctuary designated; trapping, hunting, shooting and molesting birds, wild fowl and wildlife; authority to destroy nuisances.

  • (a)

    The entire area embraced within the corporate limits of the village shall be and is hereby designated as a bird and wildlife sanctuary.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful to trap, hunt, shoot or molest, or attempt to trap, hunt, shoot or molest any bird, wild fowl or wildlife within the corporate limits of the village.

    (c)

    The director of public safety shall order the destruction of any bird, wild fowl or wildlife which, in his discretion, shall constitute a nuisance or menace to the health or property of the village residents.
