§ 78-62. Application for installation; deposit.

  • (a)

    All persons desiring water and wastewater system service installed or connected to any premises shall make written application to the village, setting forth the location of the premises either by street and number or other clear description; the name and address of the owner; the classification of the service, whether single-family, multifamily or commercial; the number of units; and the estimated monthly water consumption. The application shall be accompanied by a deposit established by resolution.

    (b)

    The village shall issue and deliver to all applicants a written receipt for all water deposits, and shall keep a complete record of all water connections, specifying the:

    (1)

    Name of the user;

    (2)

    Description or location of the premises;

    (3)

    Date service begins;

    (4)

    Amount deposited;

    (5)

    Date of discontinuance of service; and

    (6)

    Sum refunded.
