§ 62-43. Commercial collection.

  • (a)

    Frequency of collection. Commercial collection shall occur at predetermined frequency by the collector and the commercial user but no less than once per week. However, for commercial users generating garbage, a collection of twice per week is mandatory. In the event a commercial user is consistently overloaded or otherwise creates a health hazard between collections, the village may require the commercial user to use a larger commercial container or a greater frequency of collection.

    (b)

    Point of collection. Commercial containers shall be placed for collection at locations that are mutually agreed upon by the user and the collector and which are convenient for collection by the collector consistent with the other requirements of this article.

    (c)

    Required containers. All trash and garbage of a commercial user must be placed in a commercial container for collection. Bulk trash and vegetative waste from a commercial user shall be consistent placed for collection consistent with direction from the collector or otherwise consistent with the requirements of this article.

    (d)

    Prohibited use. No owner or user of a commercial container shall place any hazardous waste in a commercial container.
