§ 78-34. Right to cut off service in case of accident and village not liable for damage.

No person shall be entitled to damages, nor to any refund by reason of any stoppage in the water or wastewater supply occasioned by accident to any portion of the water and wastewater system or for the purpose of making additions or repairs, and the village reserves the right to cut off service from any premises for such purpose, without notice. Further, the village shall not be liable for any damage to any user of any water or wastewater service furnished by the village due to backflow of the wastewater system, failure of connection or any other cause outside the direct control of the village.
